Cocoa Beach in Brevard County and New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County both ranked among the top 10 beaches on USA Today?s list.
The unusally warm winter in Florida could send the snowbirds flocking south to the Sunshine State a little earlier this year.
That?s why USA Today put together a list of the top 10 beaches/beach towns in Florida, with the help of Florida International University professor Stephen P. Leatherman.
Luckily for Central Florida's hospitality and tourism industry, two nearby beaches made the cut.
Cocoa Beach in Brevard County and New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County both ranked among the top 10 beaches on USA Today?s list. The list says both beaches are known for surfing, and New Smyrna Beach still allows visitors to drive on the beach.
